Laurentian High School Workshop – In Partnership with 4Korners

What happens when young people are given the freedom to express themselves without limits? Something powerful.

During Mental Health Week 2026, Scattered partnered with 4Korners to host a workshop at Laurentian High School in Lachute — and it reminded us, once again, why this work matters so deeply.

What took place

The session was built on two things: trust and openness. Students were invited into a space where there were no wrong answers, no pressure to perform, and no limits on how they chose to express themselves.

Through mindfulness, reflection, and creative expression, students took the thoughts and feelings that can so often feel overwhelming — and turned them into words, ideas, and art. Each piece created was a reflection of something real. Something personal. Something worth sharing.

The energy in the room was quiet at first. Then it grew. And by the end, what filled the space was something that can only be described as authentic connection.

Why it matters

Mental Health Week is a reminder that wellbeing isn’t just about managing symptoms — it’s about having spaces where you can show up as you truly are.

At Scattered, we believe that when people are given the freedom to be authentic, connection naturally follows. That creative expression isn’t a luxury — it’s a tool for community healing.

This workshop was proof of that.

Thank you to Laurentian High School and 4Korners for making this space possible — and to every student who showed up and let their words and art speak for them.
