The skills that make a great teammate, colleague, and community member don’t develop on their own. They need to be taught — and practised.
On March 9th, 2026, Scattered had the privilege of hosting a workshop at Centennial High School in collaboration with ARC, focused on something every young person needs: conflict resolution in the workplace.
The session brought together mindfulness, reflection, and creative expression to give students practical, meaningful tools for navigating some of life’s most challenging moments.
What did students explore?
- Mindfulness — learning to pause, breathe, and respond rather than react
- Reflection — building self-awareness around their own emotions and triggers
- Effective communication — finding the words to express themselves clearly and respectfully
- Empathy — understanding where others are coming from, even in difficult situations
These aren’t just workplace skills. They are the foundations of healthier relationships and stronger communities — and the earlier young people develop them, the better.
The students engaged with openness and honesty throughout the session. Watching them connect these tools to their own lives and experiences was a reminder of why this work matters so much.
A huge thank you to Centennial High School and ARC for creating the space for these important conversations — and for trusting Scattered to lead them.
